Lawmate PV500 Evolution

This is the Lawmate PV500 EVO (evolution) digital video recorder. Unlike any other digital video recorder currently available, the PV500 Evo supports up to 720p high definition resolution and has a digital video input. It contains the same chipset and electronics found in the PV1000 but without the hard disk. The EVO stores video on to any SDHC memory card up to 32gb in size. This solid state design means there are no moving parts and so much more stable and reliable in harsh environments.

The PV500 Evo has a unique touch screen for accessing the on screen menus. You can use this to change settings, review previous recordings and for setting up features such as motion detection etc.

This is a complete redesign of the original DV500 unit. It is exactly the same size as the original unit but with a much bigger 3000maH battery giving 3 hours record time.

A wired remote controller is supplied with every PV500 Evolution with a digital connection. The wired controller has on/off and record/stop buttons as well as a button for taking instant still photo shots from the DVR's input. You can use the remote as a one touch start-up and record controller. It takes about 6 seconds to boot up and start recording.

The other majorly significant addition to the EVO is a digital input port. This is for connecting a new range of digital covert cameras. Using a 1.3mp CMOS sensor plugged in to this digital input will produce unrivalled video quality, much more vivid colours and advanced control over image settings like white ballance and contrast.

The PV500 Evolution will become the industry standard for covert surveillance and portable remote video recording, we see nothing else currently available that comes close to this hardware.

This latest generation of high definition digital video recorders create .ASF files which can easily be played on either PC or MAC operating systems. .ASF files can be nativley imported in to windows movie maker (a free editing program from microsoft) without any conversion required.

Like all Lawmate Law enforcement grade equipment, the PV500 ECO does full watermarked time and day date stamping. It has password protection, produces a LOG file that records every function activated with the device.

It can do continuous video recording, motion detection and pre-event or scheduled video recording.

A 4gb SDHC card is supplied with the Lawmate PV500 EVO. This will give around 1 hour record time at full quality.
