A mini miracle. Works with any camcorder with a lanc connection - Canon and Sony.
A small remote on a 1m cable with a single button gives you control over functions including power on/off, record, stop, and pause. This remote monitors the camcorder and a status LED tells you what's going on and even lets you know if the batteries are going flat or if the tape is about to run out.
Compatibilty: Use version 1.4 for Canon's.
Use version 1.6 for newer Sony's that have a toggle power switch.
Use version 1.8 for the latest Sony Camcorders with DVD or hard disk recording facilities. Check which version your camcorder requires on this list.
You can also use the LANC remote v1.4 or v1.6 with the PDR100 and the HQR1 digital video recorder.
